The Fashion Blonder (Family Version)

– Beauty case formato valigia a parte

🌦️ Fase 3: L’ansia da meteo

Controllo il meteo 9 volte al giorno.

25°? Metto i sandali.

📍Io quest’anno vado in Corsica.

The perfect suitcase doesn’t exist (but I try every year)

Here we go: that time of year has arrived when I open my wardrobe with the best intentions… and end up packing half the house, three identical pairs of shoes, and—of course—forgetting my toothbrush.

Every summer I promise myself I’ll be minimal, organized, zen.

Every summer I fail—gracefully.

This year I’m heading to Corsica (crystal-clear sea, wind in my hair, baguettes under my arm, and absolutely no thoughts of work). But first comes the suitcase.

And let’s be honest—it’s not just a suitcase. It’s a psychological test. A rite of passage. A leap of faith.

Here’s how it usually goes:

🧠 Phase 1: The illusion of control

“This year I’ll pack with plenty of time.”

(I said the same last year. Outcome: forgot underwear, packed six dresses I never wore.)

📋 Phase 2: The endless list

– 4 swimsuits (because two are never enough)

– A fancy dress “just in case” (spoiler: never needed)

– Sunscreen, after-sun, cream in case I burn, cream in case I don’t

– A beauty case so full it needs its own luggage tag

🌦️ Phase 3: Weather anxiety

I check the forecast 9 times a day.

25°C? I’ll take sandals.

22°C? Add a sweater.

20% chance of rain? Tiny umbrella I’ll never use.

🎒 Phase 4: The “you never know” panic

“What if I get invited on a boat?”

“What if the wind picks up in the evening?”

“What if we go hiking?”

That’s why I always end up with things I won’t wear… and rotate the same three outfits.

⚖️ Phase 5: Surrender (and the extra bag)

This moment is called “add more and pray to Ryanair.”

Luckily, this time I’m taking the ferry. Still, same vibe: overpacked bag, free mind.

In the end, every suitcase is a bit symbolic.

You pack clothes, yes—but also your hopes.

You leave behind stress (or try to).

And most of all, you bring your craving to slow down and take it all in.

📍I’m off to Corsica this summer.

🌍 And you? Where are you heading?

Tell me in the comments… or confess what you never manage to leave out of your suitcase!🫶🏼
