La Corsica per me è un mix di bellezza selvaggia, panorami che ti restano negli occhi e piccoli dettagli che la rendono unica.
Ma, come ogni amore vero, non è fatta solo di lati perfetti: ci sono anche piccole “imperfezioni” che, a volte, diventano aneddoti divertenti… altre un po’ meno.
Ecco la mia lista delle 10 cose che ho amato di più e delle 10 che ho amato un po’ meno di questa splendida isola.
❤️ 10 cose che amo della Corsica
-Il mare cristallino — Con mille sfumature di blu e verde, sembra uscito da una cartolina.
-I panorami dalla macchina — Guidare lungo le strade costiere è un’esperienza: curve, montagne, mare e cieli infiniti.
-La vegetazione — Profumi e colori che ti accompagnano ovunque, dalla macchia mediterranea agli alberi secolari.
-Le baguette — Appena sfornate, croccanti fuori e morbide dentro… una vera delizia quotidiana.
-Crêpes e gaufres — Dolci o salate, da gustare sul lungomare o tra i vicoli di un paesino.
-La lingua — Parlano abbastanza italiano, il che rende tutto più facile (e qualche volta più divertente).
-Il silenzio e la pace — Ci sono momenti in cui senti solo il rumore del mare e il vento tra gli alberi.
-Nuotare tra i pesci — Un vero spettacolo naturale, soprattutto nelle calette più nascoste.
-Zero zanzare — Un piccolo miracolo estivo che merita di essere celebrato.
-La temperatura — Calda ma mai soffocante, perfetta per godersi la giornata.
🙃 10 cose che mi sono piaciute meno della Corsica
-La natura… a volte fin troppo presente — È talmente selvaggia che può capitare di incrociare topi, cinghiali e animali di ogni genere. Romantico nei racconti… meno quando succede davvero davanti a te.
-La cucina in generale — Non fraintendiamoci, si mangia bene, ma a volte la varietà lascia un po’ a desiderare. E se sogni una vera pizza italiana… meglio aspettare il rientro a casa.
-I prezzi — Nei supermercati, ristoranti e bar, tutto sembra costare un po’ di più. Al bar ho pagato una bottiglietta d’acqua 7 euro. Sette. Euro.
-L’assenza del bidet — E continuo a chiedermi come una cosa così fondamentale e comoda possa non essersi diffusa in tutto il mondo.
-Le strade pericolose — Spesso strette, con strapiombi a lato e curve che mettono alla prova anche i guidatori più esperti (e il loro sangue freddo).
-Le spiagge affollate — Purtroppo, rispetto a qualche anno fa, l’isola si sta popolando sempre di più, e trovare un angolo solitario diventa una caccia al tesoro.
-Spiagge “avventurose” — Alcune sono raggiungibili solo via mare, attraverso scogli o boschi. Belle, ma non sempre comode se viaggi con bambini o mille borse.
-Il vento — Quel venticello piacevole che di solito rinfresca… a volte decide di trasformarsi in un uragano personale mentre stendi l’asciugamano.
-Poca vita notturna — Se ami fare le ore piccole, la Corsica non è proprio Ibiza. Dopo una certa ora regna il silenzio (che può essere un pro… o un contro).
-Il parcheggio — Nei paesini più turistici trovare un posto libero può diventare un’impresa degna di una missione speciale.
Corsica: 10 Things I Love… and 10 Things I Love a Little Less 🌊🇫🇷
For me, Corsica is a mix of wild beauty, landscapes that stay with you, and little details that make it truly unique.
But, like every true love, it’s not just perfect sides: there are also small “imperfections” that sometimes turn into funny anecdotes… and sometimes a bit less so.
Here’s my list of 10 things I loved most and 10 things I liked a little less about this beautiful island.
❤️ 10 Things I Love About Corsica
-The crystal-clear sea — With a thousand shades of blue and green, it looks like it’s straight out of a postcard.
-The views from the car — Driving along the coastal roads is an experience: curves, mountains, sea, and endless skies.
-The vegetation — Scents and colors that follow you everywhere, from Mediterranean scrub to ancient trees.
-The baguettes — Freshly baked, crispy outside and soft inside… a true daily delight.
-Crêpes and waffles — Sweet or savory, perfect to enjoy by the seaside or in the alleys of a small village.
-The language — They speak quite a bit of Italian, which makes everything easier (and sometimes more fun).
-The silence and peace — There are moments when you hear only the sound of the sea and the wind through the trees.
-Swimming among the fish — A real natural show, especially in the most hidden coves.
-Zero mosquitoes — A small summer miracle that deserves to be celebrated.
-The temperature — Warm but never suffocating, perfect for enjoying the day.

🙃 10 Things I Liked Less About Corsica
-Nature… sometimes a bit too present — It’s so wild that you might come across mice, wild boars, and all kinds of animals. Romantic in stories… less so when it happens right in front of you.
-The food overall — Don’t get me wrong, the food is good, but sometimes the variety leaves a bit to be desired. And if you dream of a real Italian pizza… better wait to get back home.
-The prices — In supermarkets, restaurants, and bars, everything seems a bit more expensive. At a bar, I paid 7 euros for a small bottle of water. Seven. Euros.
-The lack of bidet — And I keep wondering how such a fundamental and convenient thing hasn’t spread worldwide.
-The dangerous roads — Often narrow, with cliffs on the side and curves that test even the most experienced drivers (and their nerves).
-The crowded beaches — Unfortunately, compared to a few years ago, the island is becoming more and more populated, and finding a quiet spot is like a treasure hunt.
-The “adventurous” beaches — Some are reachable only by sea, through rocks or woods. Beautiful, but not always convenient if you travel with kids or tons of bags.
-The wind — That pleasant breeze that usually cools you down… sometimes decides to turn into a personal hurricane while you’re laying down your towel.
-Little nightlife — If you love partying till dawn, Corsica is not exactly Ibiza. After a certain hour, silence reigns (which can be a pro… or a con).
-Parking — In the most touristy villages, finding a free spot can become a mission worthy of a special operation.
