Corn Flakes and Good Intentions 🥣☀️
After three days of almost fasting (more for survival than for dieting), today I decided it was time to set foot back in the kitchen… and put my spoon into a bowl of gluten-free corn flakes with almond milk.
A breakfast that looks like it came straight out of a wellness blog, but is really just an attempt not to upset my irritable bowel — which, after my trip to Corsica, is holding a grudge.
Why?
Between poorly stocked shelves and my unwavering belief that on vacation, anything goes, I spent days loading up on gluten and dairy. Translation: croissants in the morning, cheese at lunch, and my gut taking notes for its revenge.
Meanwhile, in Turin the heat is so intense that even the pigeons seem to be on holiday, and the streets are so empty I could dance in the square without risking witnesses.
Perfect conditions, therefore, to get back to studying and relaunch the job hunt… while trying not to melt onto the keyboard.
Tomorrow, a day at the pool with the family. Which, in our case, means: less “total relaxation” and more surprise dives, noise, and at least one water splash attack.
In short: today is the restart. Slowly, but it’s a restart.
