Between coffee and a miracle, here I am… surviving the working life

It’s been exactly one month since I started this new adventure, and yesterday I finally walked into my store.

A month full of running around, meeting new people, lots of training, and a thousand emotions. First, three intense and beautiful days in Naples — between sfogliatelle, those musical accents that make you smile even at seven in the morning, and that contagious energy only that city can give you. Then weeks of training in different stores, learning, observing, taking notes, getting my hands dirty, and really understanding how everything works.

And now, here I am.

In my new store, ready to give my best and build, step by step, my team, my routine, and my little big everyday life at work.

I won’t lie: it’s a tough, demanding, and tiring job.

It takes organization, a cool head, and a good dose of passion (plus about a liter of coffee a day — though that’s not in the contract 😅). There are days that seem endless and others when you feel like you’re running a marathon while standing still.

But then there are those moments that remind you why you love this job: a customer who thanks you, a goal achieved, a coworker who says “thank you” with a genuine smile. And that’s when you realize that all the effort is worth it.

Of course, the fun part begins when I get home and find my two little hurricanes waiting for me: Alessandro and Manuel.

Two wonderful, loving, imaginative kids… with an amazing talent for making me forget any hope of rest after a full day of work. 😅

Between homework, games, endless stories about what happened at school, and battles over who gets to shower first, my second “shift” officially begins.

It’s a hectic, exhausting, sometimes chaotic life… but it’s also real, full, and filled with love and satisfaction.

Every now and then I wonder how I manage to handle it all — then I remember that, deep down, women always find a way.

And so, between a quick coffee, a hug from my boys, and a new challenge every day, I keep going.

Tired, yes. But happy.

Because after a month of training, effort, and waiting… I can finally say it: I’m back home. ❤️
