Lettera a me stessa: verità che avrei voluto ascoltare

Cara piccola me,

ti scrivo dal futuro, portandoti parole che avrei voluto sentire quando ero piccola. Voglio raccontarti alcune verità sulla vita, sulle persone e su te stessa, che ti aiuteranno a capire prima di crescere.

Incontrerai tante persone lungo il tuo cammino. Alcune ti vorranno bene davvero, ma saranno poche. Altre resteranno accanto a te solo per un tratto di strada, lasciandoti ricordi dolci e momenti che brilleranno come stelle nel tempo. Ci saranno persone che ti useranno per convenienza e altre che sembreranno buone, ma non lo saranno davvero. Imparerai a riconoscerle, piano piano, senza fretta, senza perdere te stessa.

Non avere fretta di crescere. Essere bambini è il modo più autentico di conoscere il mondo: puro, curioso, libero dai giudizi. Non sentirti mai obbligata a truccarti o a nascondere ciò che ti sembra un difetto. La tua autenticità è la tua bellezza più grande, e solo chi saprà vederla meriterà il tuo tempo e il tuo affetto.

Non rincorrere le persone. Chi vuole esserci nella tua vita ci sarà senza che tu debba chiedere, e saranno poche, ma quelle poche saranno vere. Quelle poche saranno tutto ciò che conta.

La vita ti sorprenderà, ti farà cadere e rialzare, ti farà crescere e imparare. Sarai più forte di quanto immagini, più dolce di quanto pensi. E in mezzo a tutto questo, non dimenticare mai la bambina che sei: dentro di lei c’è la tua luce, la tua verità, il tuo mondo più bello.

Letter to Myself: Truths I Wish I Had Heard

Dear little me,

I’m writing to you from the future, bringing words I wish I had heard when you were small. I want to share some truths about life, about people, and about yourself—truths that will help you understand before you grow up.

You will meet many people along your path. Some will truly care for you, but they will be few. Others will stay by your side only for a short time, leaving behind sweet memories and moments that will shine like stars in your life. There will be people who use you for convenience and others who seem kind but aren’t. You will learn to recognize them, slowly, without rushing, and without losing yourself.

Don’t rush to grow up. Being a child is the purest way to experience the world: curious, open, and free from judgment. Never feel pressured to cover up your “flaws” or wear makeup to hide them. Your authenticity is your greatest beauty, and only those who see it truly will deserve your time and affection.

Don’t chase after people. Those who want to be in your life will be there without you having to ask, and they will be few—but those few will be real. Those few are everything that matters.

Life will surprise you. It will make you fall and rise again. It will make you grow and learn. You will be stronger than you imagine, gentler than you think. And through it all, never forget the little girl you are: within her lies your light, your truth, your most beautiful world.
